Short one today

Well, here we are again, talking about more snow.  This is getting tiresome.  But, comma, on the other, hand, (as many commas as I can muster) it does provide for nice pictures.  The very same magnolia tree that produced the nice “ice leaf” image the other day is pretty reliable

And then of course there is always the question: “how much did you get?” which is always difficult to determine.  I again used the “Tub – O – Meter”

And the trusty yard stick
7799

which indicated the roughly five inches.    I think it is highly dependent on where you stick the stick, so to speak.  Our driveway looked to be much less..

And in these days of the “Social Media” explosion, you get almost immediate reports from all over.  Besides your facebook pals there are several “pages” to look at, Justin Berk has a very informative one, there is a “JB Weather” (not Justin), “Somdwxnews”, and then there are several apps for your mobile phone, including the Weather Channel, Accuweather, Intellicast (which I tend to use most), and then there’s the Weather Underground which gives very local reports.  And of course you can always resort to network television coverage. All of which probably falls in the category of “everybody talks about the weather but nobody can do anything about it”.

So according to most of those sources, this will be the last of the snow and very cold weather.  I for one am very ready for that.  And, I don’t even have to get up and go to work anymore or get kids ready for school.  We can sit, look at the river and have coffee, and I still agonize.  Something wrong somewhere.

One plus is that you get to catch up on that pile of food magazines..  they just keep coming.. we’ll discuss that later..

Anyway, hope you survived the last big storm of this year’s end of winter.  Don’t forget you still have to

DFD

is there such a thing as cabin fever?  think i got it..
